Returns & Exchanges

 

The Material Possessions Guarantee
We want you to be completely satisfied with every purchase from Material Possessions. If your order fails to meet your expectations for any reason, please contact us immediately to enable us address and correct the situation for you. If you need to return any regular merchandise, we will be happy to do so within 14 days of receipt for exchange, refund, or credit (excluding delivery and handling charges). Sorry, personalized, non-closeout, custom ordered, /special ordered and used items are not returnable (see Non-returnable Merchandise below). After 14 days, no returns of any kind will be accepted.

Returns
Please insure and ship your return merchandise, with the information requested on your original packing slip, to the address shown on your packing slip. We recommend insuring your return shipment, since we cannot give credit for items that do not arrive, or arrive damaged. If you cannot find the packing slip, please call us at 1-888-241-1190 or email us at Service@MaterialPossessions.com

Exchanges
If you've kept your packing slip, complete the exchange portion of your packing slip with the new item(s) you would like to order, and include it with your return. Please be sure to include your credit card payment information to pay for shipping and handling charges of your new items along with any amount that the new merchandise price for the replacement item(s) exceeds the amount to be refunded (please note that original delivery and handling charges are not refunded when you return an item unless we are at fault). Returns and Exchanges of Gifts
Complete the form on your packing slip as you would for a regular return or exchange (see above). If you are returning the item, we will send you a gift certificate for the dollar amount of the item. If you are exchanging the item , please be sure to include your credit card payment information to pay for shipping and handling charges of your new items along with any amount that the new merchandise price for the replacement gift(s) exceeds the amount to be refunded (please note that original delivery and handling charges are not refunded when you return an item unless we are at fault). Shipping Errors and Damages
Please call us right away at 1-888-241-1190 or email us at Service@MaterialPossessions.com if your order arrived damaged or if a packing error occurred; please provide us with your order number, name, address, and a description of what happened. We will let you know what to do next. If a replacement item is in stock, we will ship it to you immediately; your credit card will be charged for the second shipment, but you will be credited for the original item including delivery and handling once the return has been processed.

Refunds
Depending on the method you use to return the item to us, it can take up to 7-14 days for us to receive your return. If you placed your order with a credit card, the credit will be applied to your account and usually appears on your statement within one billing cycle from the time we process your return. If you ordered by check, your refund will be sent to you via first-class mail.

Non-returnable Merchandise
In the event your items do not arrive exactly as anticipated, corrective steps are incorporated to assure that your expectations are met. When it is necessary, we do return or exchange item(s). However, the nature of some merchandise prohibits the ability to allow for returns or exchanges. These types of non-returnable merchandise include:

  • Special Order, Custom Order and Hold-to-Order Merchandise - To accommodate these request, we take extra steps to assure every order is received as expected and promised. Because these items are custom made and typically non-stocking items, we are unable to allow returns.
  • Discounted 'Close-out' Merchandise - Occasionally we offer close-out merchandise at deeply discounted prices. These are items that can no longer be replaced and their price reflects the circumstances. Consequently, we cannot allow returns of close-out merchandise.
  • Final Sale Merchandise - Occasionally we obtain one-of-a-kind or unique items that require specific handling and care. These items are considered Final Sale Merchandise and cannot be returned.
