Phone Orders
To place an order by phone, please call 1-888-241-1190 within the Continental U.S.. Our store hours are 10am to 5pm Central Standard Time, Monday through Saturday (Calls are taken on Sunday's as available from Noon through 5pm). If you are outside the U.S., please call 312-280-4885 (country code 001).

Methods of payment
Whether you order online or by phone, you can pay for your purchases with Visa, MasterCard, American Express or a Material Possessions' Gift Certificate. If you submit your order by mail, you can also pay by check or money order made payable to Material Possessions (please do not send cash, ever).

Material Possessions is committed to protecting our customers' personal information. We do this by using industry-standard encryption and password protection technologies through our entire web site and shopping environment.

Sales Taxes
We are required to collect applicable sales taxes on orders shipped within Illinois.

Backorders
If we are currently out of stock on an item that you have ordered, we will immediately notify you of the anticipated shipping date via email; ship dates sent by e-mail represent the most current information and in certain rare instances may not match the date you were given when you placed your order online. We ship all items as they become available; if you have ordered more than one item and not all of them are in stock, you will receive multiple shipments, and delivery and handling charges will be billed on a pro-rated basis.

Gift Certificates
To redeem a gift certificate online, please enter the gift certificate number in the COMMENT area during checkout. We do require a credit card to complete your purchase, even if the gift certificate exceeds the amount of your order. If the total cost of your order is less than the gift certificate amount, you will be mailed a gift certificate in the amount of the difference unless the amount remaining on your gift certificate is less than $5.00; in that case, you will be mailed a refund check.

Gift Boxes
Most items in our catalog can be gift wrapped with a card included. You can specify your gift wrap preferences during your check-out process. Certain bulky items may be too large for a Material Possessions gift box.
